How Do I Know if Therapy is Right for Me?
You can use therapy for numerous situations, stressors, or concerns you may be experiencing as an individual, couple, or family. The most important part is finding a therapist you connect with. You need a therapist who is professional, knowledgeable, and hopeful. Please contact me for a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if I would be the right fit for you.
I accept private/self pay for services. Clients are responsible for payment at the time of service. There is also an option to pay via credit card payment. Receiving quality services is important to me and I never want financial constraints to be a barrier to treatment; therefore, payment plans are also an option. A sliding scale is available for those who qualify.
I do not accept insurance yet accept all major forms of payment including cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and HSA plans. I am also a registered provider with State probation.
The session ranges from 45 to 60 minutes depending on your needs and treatment plan. Typically you will meet with your therapist weekly. Confidential in-person sessions or via secure telehealth interactive video (for Nebraska residents) are available depending on your needs and circumstances. The overall duration of therapy depends on your individual needs. This is something that will be discussed and worked on together with your therapist to determine the best course of action for you.
The Initial First Session?
The first session is scheduled for an hour. It is used to gather information regarding your current situation along with your past to gain a full understanding of you and your wants and needs for therapy.
The treatment plan is developed between you and the counselor. This plan will include the goals of therapy. My goal is to help you reach mental, physical, and spiritual health and wellness. This may include referring you to a primary care physician to rule out any medical concerns to facilitate a full wellness plan.
Is Therapy Confidential?
Your relationship and services are held in the strictest confidence according to HIPPA guidelines. Privacy practices will be provided at your initial session.
When working with minors, confidentiality continues to be an important component within the therapeutic realtionship. Therefore parents are provided with general updates as requested. If there is a safety concern, a parent will be asked to join for part of the session; and the client will be encouraged to disclose this information directly. Family involvement is an important component of adolescent counseling and safety planning.
